The color, the nose, and finally the mouthfeel and flavors set this artisan Airén on its own course. Sherry influences are noted on the oxidized nutty nose. In the mouth, this amber-colored wine is unctuous and fat, with dry tannins. Flavors of dried apricot and aged fino Sherry are rather aimless on a short finish. Michael Schachner
