Bodegas Aresan 2003 6 meses en barrica Red (Tierra de Castilla)

A blend of 55% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet, 20% Merlot and Syrah. But in the end it comes up a bit barnyardy and bretty, with animal aromas giving way to a racy, almost lemony palate that also offers some wild raspberry. For $35 it's scattered and faulty. Michael Schachner
