For several years we've been impressed with this under-$10 Merlot, and this year the quality and purity are once again exemplary. Aromas of smoke, mineral and sweet leather set the stage for amplified cherry, raspberry, plum and chocolate flavors. A medium-bodied but healthy and spicy finish secures the final favorable votes.
