Bodegas Luzón 2010 Alma de Luzon Red (Jumilla)

Earthy berry aromas are gamy while showing a hint of prune. Hard, rubbing tannins make for a rocky mouthfeel, while this blend of 80% Monastrell and 20% Syrah tastes of spiced black plum, toast and chocolate. While this is bullish and fleshy throughout, the finish is helpfully balanced. Michael Schachner
