Bodegas Medina 2011 Jaloco Roble Red (Ribera del Guadiana)

Jammy and candied smelling, this has a green element akin to alfalfa or mint. It's clampy, tannic and high in acid, with raspberry and plum notes that offer an oak offset. The flavors turn tangy and sharp on the finish, even as a heavy vanilla flavor settles in. Michael Schachner
