Bodegas Muriel 2001 Gran Reserva (Rioja)

Mature smelling, with citrus peel, tobacco and molasses on the nose. The palate is a bit lean and acidic 10 years after harvest, with little expansiveness and driving, citrusy flavors of raspberry and red plum. Juicy but clampy on the finish. Michael Schachner
