More earthy and chunky than you might expect for an '02 Crianza. The nose belts forth with cola, leather and brambly red fruit, and the palate is mostly fresh raspberry and oak-based vanilla. Fairly tight on the finish, with a nuttiness akin to popcorn or peanuts. The mouthfeel is sort of scouring so we recommend drinking this wine with grilled meat or something along those lines.
