Bodegas San Dionisio 2018 Toza Monastrell (Jumilla)

Aggressive aromas of berry fruits are fiery, slightly green and suggestive of wet cement. Conversely, this Monastrell is bulky and soupy in feel, without much verve or bounce to the palate. Minty blueberry and cassis flavors border on syrupy, while this is thick and sticky on a finish that's not uncommon for Monastrell. Michael Schachner
