A throwback style, with creamy vanilla, dill, tomato and raspberry aromas. The palate is just round and lush enough to not be edgy, but there's ample acid to drive the plum, cherry, cola and raisin flavors toward a clean, linear finish. No miracles here; just good, well-made, fairly traditional Rioja.
