Bodkin 2016 The Victor's Spoils Sauvignon Blanc (North Coast)

An unusually bright-gold color and aromas like vanilla and nutmeg signal a complex style for this unusually textured and nicely viscous wine that is technically light bodied in terms of alcohol. Balanced out by good acidity, it is not overtly fruity but goes for complexity and spiciness that linger on the finish. Jim Gordon
