Boekenoogen 2016 Bell Ranch Vineyard Viognier (Monterey)

There's a strong sense of restraint on this cleanly made, fresh bottling, which is better than overripe and yet leaves a bit to be desired. The faintest of peach aromas on the nose lead into light flavors of nectarine and coconut on the palate, which offers decent textural grip. Matt Kettmann
