Bonacquisti 2017 Rosso di Colorado Red (Colorado)

Fresh aromas of blackberry, açaì and plum rule the nose, lifted by notes of violet, thyme and bay leaf. Blackberry, boysenberry and black cherry flavors are bright on the palate, backed by savory bay leaf and white pepper notes. Dusty tannins offer excellent structure and are fairly drying, but quickly balanced by oodles of mouthwatering acidity. The tannins linger through the black plum-laced finish showing just a hint of peppery spice. Fiona Adams
