Bonny Doon 2007 Alamo Creek Syrah (San Luis Obispo County)

With a mere 13.3% alcohol by volume, this wine represents Randall Grahm's efforts to get back to his interpretation of more balanced wines. What you get is elegance and fine structure, at the cost of richness. Totally dry, it shows cherry fruit, anise and pepper flavors, with a cherryskin tannic bitterness.
