Spicy aromas of cedar, baking spice and green peppercorn hover above notes of vanilla, blackberry and blueberry on the nose. The powdery tannins are well balanced on the straightforward palate, with more notes of cedar and pepper alongside additions of leather and raspberry. The fruit is left behind on the finish but oaky tones persist with a grip of tannins. Fiona Adams
