The aroma offers fresh and baked cranberry, mulling spice, spruce tip and a hint of bell pepper. This opens with plum, raspberry and blackberry on a suave palate with perky acidity and fine sandy tannins. There are well integrated, supporting notes of vanilla, pine resin and smoke. The fruit falls away towards the finish lingering on oak tones and black pepper but mouthwatering acidity keeps this approachable now. This could use more time in the bottle to soften the edges.
