Boschendal 2001 Lanoy Red (Coastal Region)

This firm, balanced a red is solidly built, if slightly hard. Dark berry-currant fruit wears spice and earth accents. Closes with good length and taut tannins. It's a bit closed now but well constructed with good fruit at the center. Best 2008 and after. Will reward cellaring.
