Boschendal 2015 Appellation Series Pinot Noir (Elgin)

Just-ripe cherry and raspberry fruits open the nose of this restrained Pinot Noir, with touches of mocha and oak that lend depth. The medium-weight palate shows good balance between the ripe fruit flavors, ample acidity and fine tannins, while the finish boasts a kiss of warm, woody spice. Drink now–2020. Lauren Buzzeo
