Winemaker: Jacques Borman. A strong, pronounced mentholated aroma of pressed fynbos and rooibos lead the nose of this herbal red. It's spicy and herby from start to finish, with oodles of mulled spice tones atop the red cherry, berry and plum fruit tones. Additional tones of olive tapenade and light game lend additional depth and interest. The palate is light and smooth upon entry, with spicy, surprisingly framing tannins that unfold through the finish and lend some lingering texture to the close. Lauren Buzzeo
