Bosman Family Vineyards 2017 Optenhorst Single Vineyard Bushvine Chenin Blanc (Wellington)

There's a muted richness to the nose of this medium-gold pour. It offers initial scents of soft-baked apples, ripe yellow-melon flesh and orange custard all graced by a soft sweet-butter top note. The palate is medium-plus in weight and round in feel, with rich fruit flavors as the nose suggests coupled with more assertive sweet wood and spice tones that carry on the medium-length close, with a salty, umami-like impression on the back.
