Pinot Meunier is seldom bottled on its own. Vintners prefer to use it in sparkling wine blends. But Bouchaine is serious about it, and with this 100% varietal wine, has succeeded in producing a Pinot Noir-esque wine of great beauty. With some new French oak, it has a smoky edge to the raspberries and cherries, with savory hints of white pepper and cinnamon.
