Thirty-two months in barrel, bottled in December, this 100% Syrah is still angular and a bit rough. It's dark, smoky and loaded with flavors of black earth, black olive and black fruits. Further bottle age is recommended, but it has the stuffing and the balance to smooth out nicely. Well made, but not as dynamic, funky or meaty as the best.
