Bouza 2017 Monte Vide Eu Tannat-Merlot-Tempranillo Red (Montevideo)

A hefty nose smells of barnyard, warm earth and sappy black fruits. A smacking, tannic palate pulls inward, while this weighty blend of Tannat, Merlot and Tempranillo tastes of prune, dried berry fruits, chocolate and saucy tomato. A fiercely tannic finish grinds as this simmers down. Michael Schachner
