Brash Higgins 2018 FRNC Clos Antonio Lamento Cabernet Franc (McLaren Vale)

Reflective of McLaren Vale's Mediterranean climate, this Franc is plush and full, but it layers flavors of red berries with earthier, more savory, spicy and herbal ones: black olives, bay leaf, fenugreek and black pepper. Like a musical trio, sappy tannins, silky fruit and spice weave in and out of one another on the firm yet luscious palate, and there's a purity unmarred by oak.
