Brengman Brothers 2012 Estate Grown Crain Hill Vineyards Dry Riesling (Leelanau Peninsula)

Petrol and lemon zest blend seamlessly together on the nose of this Riesling that spent 12 months in puncheon. Lemon peels, lime, white grapefruit and beach grass come together on a slightly oily palate. The dry, tugging finish is slightly chalky with wet wool flavors swooping in on top of lemon oil. This has advanced nicely and is extremely enjoyable now but is unlikely to improve. Fiona Adams
