Brewer-Clifton 2004 Ashley's Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Powerful aromatics launch this wine, which is bursting with pure cherry, raspberry, cola, rhubarb pie, beetroot and oak notes. Totally dry, and tart in acids, it's big and young, a little brawny now. Should mellow and knit together with a year or so in the cellar.
