88pointsBrian Carter 2015 Solesce Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

Coming from the warmest vintage this state has seen to date, this wine is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. The aromas pop, with notes of tobacco, tire rubber, coffee and cherry, reduced out the gate. Lip-smacking, slightly dried out seeming flavors follow. It's an odd mix and hard to tell where it's going at present. Sean P. Sullivan
