Bridgeview 1998 Red Cedar Pinot Noir (Rogue Valley)

This is a late-release wine from a forward vintage; it's an odd duck, with very hard, chewy, stemmy tannins taking over from the very start. The fruit is in the background, and there are some interesting herbal highlights, but oh, that tannin is too much. Paul Gregutt
