Brokenwood 2018 Shiraz (Hunter Valley)

The warm 2018 vintage brings plenty of fruit concentration to this wine—think cassis, plum and blueberry—along with a peppery, black olive, mocha and polished oak spine. There's freshness and nuance to the palate, with oak tones prominent, but overall this is an excellent wine that will hold through 2030 at least. Christina Pickard
