Brooks 2017 Ara Riesling (Willamette Valley)

This fruit for this wine is sourced from two old vine vineyards. At first it seems unconstructed, perhaps it was recently bottled, but in any event showing separate components more than a sense of completeness. Aggressive aeration helps a bit, though more bottle aging is recommended. For now you'll find tart lemon and lemon rind, along with some phenolic bitters. Paul Gregutt
