Brooks Note 2017 Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir (Yorkville Highlands)

A relatively light color and a smoky auburn rim lead to mature, mellow, almost buttery aromas and then to a smooth palate laced with mulled strawberry and cherry flavors accented by walnuts and beef jus. With no need for further aging, this wine shows what a nicely mature Pinot can taste like. Jim Gordon
