Bruno Franco 2000 Nebbiolo d'Alba

Leathery and funky at first, with mute dried fruit. When it opens, cherry and raspberry appear along with chunky tannins that turn bitter. A bit fatter than some; it has modest berry richness, but it's unfocused. Michael Schachner
