Bunnell 2008 Clifton Vineyard Viognier (Wahluke Slope)

A barrel-fermented, single-vineyard designate, this vivacious Viognier brings suggestions of summer cocktails—specifically margaritas and gin and tonics. The spicy, pear-flavored fruit seems to be edged with salt and fresh-sqeezed lime, which is not to say that it isn't a beautifully crafted wine. Fine balance and length. Paul Gregutt
