Bunnell 2009 Clifton Hill Vineyard Syrah (Wahluke Slope)

The oak shows itself first on this wine with aromas of vanilla and coconut in front of sappy fruit. The flavors are full bodied, equal parts fruit and barrel, with vanilla taking the lead on the finish. There are good things but the oak dominates. Sean P. Sullivan
