Burgo Viejo 2010 Gran Reserva (Rioja)

A spicy, gritty nose borders on underripe, and by no means is this fruity in aromas or afterwards. Grabby tannins are clamping on a highly acidic palate, while this tastes of savory currant, tomato and lemony oak. A fresh, crisp finish runs long due to acidity. Michael Schachner
