Bushong 2016 Derbyshire Vineyard Pinot Noir (San Luis Obispo)

This is a good wine for those seeking extreme cool-climate character, but may offend those seeking riper fruit flavors. Aromas of juniper, pine needle, peppercorn and tobacco decorate dark-red-currant fruit on the nose. The palate is all about herbs and spices, from tea leaves and more juniper, all sprinkled atop a mulberry backdrop. Matt Kettmann
