Bushong 2018 Power, Corruption & Lies Red (Paso Robles)

Nearly black as night in the glass, this blend is ripe and rich on the nose, offering cassis, caramelized blackberry, cola, cocoa and mincemeat-pie aromas. A firm tannic structure manages to hold together the hefty palate, loaded with ripe blueberry and more baking spice. It's balanced right on the ledge for now. Matt Kettmann
