Butterworth 2018 Te Muna Pinot Noir (Martinborough)

High-toned and highly appealing aromas of wild blueberries, cherries, dried herbs and spices come floating up from the glass. There's a quiet but present chocolaty oak note here, too. The palate is well structured, with spice-laden, raspy tannins and elevated acidity. The brambly fruit also makes its way onto the tongue, carrying through to the finish. Drink now, with a charcuterie, roast duck or pork crackling. Christina Pickard
