This opens with aromas of blueberry and red berry fruit and pepper spice, but is quickly dominated by sweet, minty oak. The palate is thin and equally oak-driven with rapier acidity and uniquely textured tannins that take an astringent turn at the finish. This lacks the fruit depth to hold up to all that oak.
