Byington 2002 Alliage Red (Sonoma County)

This year Byington blended in some Syrah with the Cabernet Sauvignon, to good effect. I wish the wine were crisper and better structured, but there's no denying the deliciousness factor. The black currant pudding, cherry pie and vanilla-sprinkled mocha flavors are irresistible.
