Byron 1999 Sierra Madre Vineyard Chardonnay (Santa Maria Valley)

A very elaborately detailed wine, as intricate as a Renoir. The fruit runs the gamut from green apples through pears all the way to pineapple, and is set off by really nice acidity. Toasty, plush oak contributes to the complexity of this deliciously rich wine.
