Byron Blatty 2017 Vice Grenache (Los Angeles County)

Dark aromas of kirsch, root beer, cola and ample oak show on the nose of this bottling, which includes 10% Syrah and spent 33 months in barrel. There's a hint of tannins that smooth out quickly on the sip, offering cherry-syrup and cola-candy flavors. Matt Kettmann
