C.G. di Arie 2008 Interlude Red (Sierra Foothills)

A red blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Primitivo, much of it estate grown, full of chewy mountain fruit flavors, structured and smoky (in a good way) and earthy, too. The traces of licorice and herbs would be interesting with a similarly herbed piece of fish or chicken. Virginie Boone
