Ca' Nova 2009 San Quirico Red (Colline Novaresi)

Aromas of menthol, exotic spice, new leather and pressed rose take center stage. The firm linear palate is rather austere, offering dried red berry, orange rind, sandalwood and licorice alongside close-grained tightly knit tannins that lead to a drying finish. Give the tannins a few more years to unwind then drink. Kerin O’Keefe
