This ten-year-old wine has aromas recalling underbrush, carob, flint, prune and sunbaked soil. The aromas carry over to the rather lean palate alongside firm, drying tannins that leave a somewhat astringent finish. It still has firm acidity but the fruit has largely vanished so drink sooner rather than later. Kerin O’Keefe
