Cadaretta 2011 Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

This was co-fermented with 3% Viognier. It's a very light Syrah that punches below its weight and skirts around the edges of clear varietal character. Citrus skin flavors and thin red fruits push it close to generic red, serviceable but without the power of most Washington Syrahs in this price range. Paul Gregutt
