Caelesta 2017 Red (Paso Robles)

Black-plum and black-currant aromas meet with loamy dried soil and muddy clay aromas on the mineral-rich nose of this blend of 55% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre from three different vineyards. Red-plum and hibiscus flavors are fleshy on the palate, where soy, dried beef and charred meat touches make for a dark, complex umami streak. Matt Kettmann
