Cairdeas 2018 Trí Boushey Vineyard Red (Yakima Valley)

Editors' Choice

Smelling this wine—a blend of Syrah (68%), Mourvèdre (19%) and Grenache (13%)—you know it could come only from this one spot. The aromas pop, with notes of raspberry, iron, smoked meat, blueberry, crushed flowers and black pepper, showing nuance, complexity and vibrancy. It's sumptuous and flavorful while remaining limber. The purity and balance are exquisite. A long finish kicks it up a notch. Thoroughly delightful. Sean P. Sullivan
