Calcareous 2004 Chardonnay (York Mountain)

The winery's name comes from the limestone that is found in this part of San Luis Obispo, and you can indeed detect a chalky minerality, not to mention high acidity that makes the fruit clean and bright. Shows tart green apple and peach flavors, and lots of Asian spice.
