Calera 2016 Reed Vineyard Pinot Noir (Mt. Harlan)

Juniper berry, bay leaf and mossy forest-floor elements join with dense cranberry fruit on the nose of this bottling from a vineyard 2,200 feet above the Salinas Valley. The palate pops with more of those herbal elements, including tarragon and eucalyptus, as well as cranberry and sandalwood. Matt Kettmann
