Calera 2018 Selleck Vineyard Pinot Noir (Mt. Harlan)

Editors' Choice

This vintage only netted 0.38 tons per acre from this vineyard, which sits at 2,200 feet. That makes for a very complex wine, starting with aromas of hibiscus, dark raspberry and hard spices on the richly layered nose. The palate is hefty and even a bit burly, but with phenomenal flavors of black cherry, cola and mace. Matt Kettmann
